Why a Community Group?

The community groups at Eckstein are intended to foster and build up discipling relationships through regular weekly small group meetings and thereby follow the biblical command: 2 Timothy 2:2 „and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.“ Titus 2:4-5 „and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.“ We live in a age where we no longer take the time to really speak into our neighbors‘ lives, which is why we want to engage in community throughout the week, by encouraging one another and worshipping God together. This is the living out of the Lord’s command to make disciples in Matthew 28:18-20 „…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…“

When and Where are the Eckstein Community Groups?
The first three weeks of each month are dedicated to community group. It is our habit to meet at the homes of families from the church. Currently, we have two community groups in eastern Berlin, one in northeastern Berlin, one downtown in Friedrichshain, one in western Berlin, and one English-speaking community group. The exact locations are available upon request on Sundays at church or you can contact the respective group leaders to find out more.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community groups.
