Learn more about the Eckstein Gemeinde Berlin

A very warm welcome to the Eckstein Church in Berlin We’re glad to have the chance to tell you a little bit more about ourselves. Our goal and hope is that you would know the love of God through your welcome here at Eckstein. Getting to know a new church often involves a lot of questions. Yours can best be answered in in-person conversations when you visit our worship services on Sunday, yet our website can still help answer your initial questions and give you insight into „Who we are“, „What we believe“, „What ministries we have“, and more.

When you come to the Eckstein Church you will hear some things again and again, in our sermons as well as in every ministry in our church:

  • A Love for God’s Word – We believe that the Bible is the word of God, which God has given to us as the sole means of knowing him. The central message of the Bible is Jesus Christ, who reconciles us to God through his death on the cross and his resurrection. In studying God’s word, we recognize that it addresses all of our problems and the needs of life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:3).
  • A Life for the Gospel We believe that our life should be centered solely on the the gospel, the good news. And this is the good news of the Grace of God in Christ Jesus who saves lost sinners. Because we are all sinners, we all need God’s grace every day, a grace which carries us and leads us to repentance so that we can follow our Lord and Savior fully and completely.
  • A Life of Service – We believe that every Christian has been uniquely gifted by God and that this gifting should have a practical application in life, especially in ministry (1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Romans 12:3-8). God has appointed ministry in the local church in such a way that we are to serve, admonish, encourage, and comfort one another. (Titus 2:4-5; 1 Peter 5:1-5).
  • A Process of Growth We believe that the life of a Christian should be marked by a process of progressive growth. For that reason, we lay a special emphasis on the growth of the individual to full maturity in Christ.(Ephesians 4:7-16): For men as the leaders called by God, both in the church and in the family. (1 Timothy 3:1-6); For women as God-ordained helpers. (Genesis 2:18).
  • An Appreciation of the Family of Faith  We believe that God has ordained the local church as part of the universal church. For that reason we our goal is to sincerely love other churches and believers, even when their practices differ from our own. (1 Corinthians 12:12; Ephesians 4:4).

We look forward to welcoming you in our next service. .
