Our Elders

The Eckstein-Gemeinde is led by a plurality of elders who meet biblical qualifications for eldership, but who also have different gifts. All elders are equal and work together unanimously to lead God’s church to love Him more and live out His Word. The Bible describes an elder as someone who shepherds, leads, teaches, exhorts, and watches over the members of his local church. They are men of exemplary character who demonstrate the Christian life to believers and the lost (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1).

Our Deacons

Deacons are members of the congregation who serve in specific areas of ministry under the supervision of the elders (Acts 6). These members meet the biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:7-13 and are gifted servants who support the congregation in practical ministry and in caring for other members. Their goal is to relieve the elders so that they can concentrate on the ministry of proclaiming God’s Word and prayer.

Our Staff

The staff of the Eckstein-Gemeinde support the elders in their duties. They lead and/or serve according to their God-given gifts in various areas of ministry in the church, so that the body of Christ may be built up (Eph. 4:11ff.).
