Church Life - Ministries

Our Ministries

Eckstein offers various ministries through which you can get to know the church and also get involved practically.

The ministries of Eckstein are rooted in the greatest command in the Bible: „‚Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?‘ And he said to him, ‚You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.’“ (Matthew 22:36-40).

In all our ministries our main goal is to glorify God, to worship him, and to obediently follow his Word. This also means practically, as Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew, that we are to love one another, be there for one another, and disciple one another. This is the complete fulfillment of the greatest commandment and through this God will receive all the glory.

The ministries in the church also exist so that we implement our God-given gifts and so that we can serve him and one another with those gifts. Paul makes this very clear in the letter to the Ephesians: „And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.“ (Ephesians 4:11-16)

This is the heartbeat of Eckstein, which we want to live out in all aspects of life, so that people would be integrated in the local church, find a new spiritual home, come to know God, serve one another, and, above all else, glorify God with their lives and worship him alone.
